Abigail Breslin strikes back after a social media user hurled insults at her father, who is currently on a ventilator after contracting COVID-19.
The Little Miss Sunshine star revealed this week that her father, Michael Breslin, is under “great concern” after a positive test for the disease. “I ask for prayers and positivity sent to my father in this way,” she wrote on Instagram.
One user said, “A fake virus that only kills weak people.”
Breslin wrote back, “you’re disgusted,” and posted a screenshot of the conversation on her feed on Feb. 12. She wrote the caption, “Ppl like this is why ppl like my dad fight for his life. Shame.”
She’s been giving fans updates on her dad’s health all week. On February 10, the 24-year-old tweeted, “All I can say is this: Covid isn’t real until you’ve experienced it firsthand or through a loved one. It’s unpredictable and relentless. My dad has been incredibly careful and has it not. I haven’t left home since it started, except for doctor’s appointments. Rest assured. PLEASE. ”
