Abigail Breslin has made a plea with her fans to take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and just ‘wear your d * mn masks’.
The 24-year-old Little Miss Sunshine star revealed on Wednesday that her father Michael is fighting the brutal Coronavirus on a ventilator in the hospital, asking for “ prayers and positivity. ”
She took to Instagram Saturday, voicing her grievances to those who continue to ignore the mandate to wear a mask as she tried to raise awareness among her 527,000 followers of the gravity of the situation, revealing that her father is currently ‘unconscious ‘is.

A frustrated plea: Abigail Breslin, 24, begs her followers to ‘wear your d * mn mask’ after revealing her dad Michael is fighting COVID-19 on a ventilator in hospital and is ‘unconscious’

Take it seriously: Little Miss Sunshine’s breakout star added that her dad would say wearing a mask is ‘way less awkward than being a fan’
This is what I say if you were to ask my dad, a mask is MUCH LESS uncomfortable than a ventilator. So stfu. And wear your d * mn mask. Please. No one should go through this, ‘she wrote in an Instagram post.
She kept in touch with concerned fans on Twitter as they checked in with her and asked for updates.
One user wrote: ‘Just see how your dad is doing. I hope he is doing better, ‘to which she responded’ thank you! Not too much to keep you updated, but we have more hope every day. Thanks for checking. ‘
Peter Pan star Jeremy Sumpter shared his frustration with seeing people without a face covering, writing, ‘some people don’t feel any sense … disgusts me.’

Shared frustration: The Peter Pan star tweeted that he was just as frustrated with those who refused to wear masks as he said: ‘some people just don’t have any sense’
Breslin replied, ‘I agree. I’m glad you understand that. Hopefully more and more people will respect the situation and act on it. ‘
She tragically revealed in one tweet on Friday that her father (who still remains elusive on her social media) is ‘unconscious’, although she said she is still calling to speak to him.
“I’m so used to talking to Dad several times a day. I still call and talk to him thanks to the INCREDIBLE nurses who work so hard and make sure he can hear me even though he is unconscious. I can’t wait to hear his voice again. I love you dada. ‘
The Oscar nominee first shared the news of her father’s struggles on Wednesday, with a message that read:
‘Hey guys. Unfortunately, this post is not one I ever thought I should post. I ask for prayers and positivity sent this way for my father, Michael who tested positive for COVID-19 and had to be placed on a ventilator this morning.

Send Prayers: The Oscar-nominated actress seemed incredulous that she wrote to tell her 527,000 followers that her father’s positive coronavirus case had become so serious that he had to be placed on a ventilator

The 24-year-old New Yorker wrote, ‘My father, Michael, tested positive for COVID-19 and had to be placed on a ventilator this morning … I am confident things will change at any moment’
‘We remain positive and know that he is under great concern. I am very grateful to the nurses and doctors who are working hard to make sure he is fighting this virus. I am confident that everything will change any time, but in the meantime, keep wearing your masks and follow the COVID protocol. ‘
Despite an aggressive introduction of vaccines in recent weeks, as of Saturday, there were a total of 27.6 million confirmed cases in the US and an astonishing 484 thousand deaths.
To make matters worse, Breslin has been fighting off social media trolls left and right since sharing the troubled family news.
She fired back on the callous and uneducated nature at some of the posts she was handling:
Okay, new rule: If you don’t believe in wearing a mask / want to try to tell me why Covid isn’t real / generally want to be ad *** hebag … don’t follow me anymore. And don’t say anything more to me. Cool? Excellent.’
