Aaron Donald on Seahawks in playoffs: ‘Just what we wanted’

The Rams had a sour taste in their mouths last week when they were crushed by the Seahawks on the way, 9/20. It lowered their record to 9-6 and put them in danger of missing the playoffs.

But by defeating the Cardinals on Sunday, the Rams hosted a third meeting with the Seahawks – their second in a three-week period. As seed number 6, the Rams will visit the Seahawks on Wild Card Weekend to open the playoffs, which begin on Saturday afternoon.

They split the season series 1-1, and Aaron Donald is excited to face the Rams division rival for the third time next weekend in a win-or-go home rubber match.

After LA’s victory over Arizona, Donald said confronting the Seahawks was “exactly what we wanted.”

Donald has always played well against the Seahawks, so it’s no surprise he wants another shot at them. Seattle won the NFC West last weekend by beating the Rams, but LA will try to avenge that loss by eliminating its postseason rival with a win.

Kick-off is scheduled for 4:40 PM ET on Saturday afternoon on FOX.
