A woman in Ciudad Delgado offered a man an inn, and when she asked him to leave, he tried to kill her

José Amartí Miranda Franco was sentenced to 28 years in prison for the death of a man and the attempted murder of a woman.

According to the prosecution, the events took place on December 26, 2018, in the house next to the continental apartment buildings, kilometer 10 and a half of the Troncal del Norte highway, jurisdiction of Ciudad Delgado, San Salvador department.

Information from the prosecution indicates that the owner of the house had given the convicted inn, but had repeatedly asked him to leave. On the day of the assault and murder, the victim takes his backpack and gestures to leave, because he can no longer have it there. An enraged Miranda Franco takes out a knife and runs towards the woman.

Noticing the attack, the woman’s life partner tries to save her, but is stabbed by Miranda Franco, who, seeing her victims on the ground, escapes.

The woman asks for help if she can and both are taken to hospital, but her partner dies of the injuries two days later.

The specialized court for a life without violence sentenced Miranda Franco to 13 years in prison for simple murder, to the detriment of the man; and 15 years’ imprisonment for the crime of attempted aggravated femicide.
