A woman has reportedly cut her foot to avoid being picked up by police in Australia

The woman is said to have cheated $ 25 million from family and friends through her dubious financial affairs.

Melissa Caddick is an Australian businesswoman accused of fraud and misappropriation of investments. She has been missing for three months, last seen in November, at her home in Dover Heights, Sydney.

A few weeks ago, a group of surfers on the beach in New South Wales found a shoe that was still at the foot of a severed woman and turned out to be Caddick’s.

Authorities believe the businesswoman was murdered because other limbs were found, but forensic tests determined these were not Caddick’s. According to statements by New South Wales Police Commissioner Mick Fuller, it is not yet ruled out that the woman is still alive.

“There is always the possibility that she may have cut off her foot and is still alive, although it is quite fanciful,” Fuller said in a recent interview.

While the theory may seem far-fetched, the police do not rule out the possibility that it is possible, as the extensive searches did not lead to the discovery of more of Caddick’s remains.

The shoe and wicked foot landed on a secluded beach on the south coast of New South Wales last month, more than three months after it disappeared from its Eastern Suburbs home.

Fuller reported that the remains found in the Mollymook area belonged to a missing Sydney man last seen from Kiama, while other dark discoveries were related to animals or likely belonged to a missing spear fisherman.

The case is still ongoing: “We have 68 victims of fraud and we feel sorry for them. We are still trying to recover money and that investigation continues. But we have not closed this case, ”said the Commissioner.

So far they are still looking for Caddick and the missing millions. Her 15-year-old son told officers that he heard the front door lock at 5:30 am on Nov. 12 after his mother reportedly left for a morning run, but that he had not taken any belongings, including his phone.

His $ 7 million home in Dover Heights is a short walk up the cliff, but the police officer said it is “very difficult” that he took his life.

Many experts claim the shoe was in very good condition for having been in the water for three months, a theory favored by leading criminal psychology expert Tim Watson-Munro, quoted by Australian outlet News.com.au .

“The decomposition of the shoe suggests that it has not been in the water for three months. While not my area of expertise, one possible scenario is that she was recently killed or killed and kept on the ice for a while, ”he said.

“An amputated foot is a great launch. They (the police and the public) see this and let it go. Of all the beaches and feet in the world, to find hers … what are the chances of that? Said the expert

Another forensic medicine expert who supports the theory is Paola Magni, because she says there are no barnacles or marine animals on the footwear at the foot.

Had the shoe floated that long, barnacles would be expected. But if it was kept protected, perhaps in a plastic bag or submerged in a car, they are less likely to appear, ”the expert said in local media.

Caddick defrauded $ 25 million from family and friends through his dubious financial company Maliver, which used a Ponzi scheme. With the money he would have bought luxury items and personal expenses.
