Halo 5: Guardians was released in 2015. But it wasn’t until a few days ago that after six years, players finally found a secret race with mongoose four-wheelers. All it took to find this Easter egg was a little help from the developer who added it to the game.

The winner of the race will even receive a heavy weapon. This caught the attention of the Halo community and soon players started looking for this undiscovered secret.

Several Halo YouTubers and secret hunters started to search the whole level for hidden switches, sounds, etc. But even with the combined effort from so many Halo experts and fans, no one has found the secret after the first day. The the next day, on April 5, Wren shared a short poem with some hints for secret hunters.

With this new information, Halo content creators love RocketSloth and Ducain 23 started a stream and played together to find the secretAt this point, the best theory they had was that they had to be on the map for 117 seconds in front of a particular gate. (This is the Master Chief’s number designation, which the poem seemed to refer to.) But this didn’t work. However, Wren actually looked at the stream and joined the chat, gave a few extra hints, and let them know their theory was correct, but they needed to go faster.

Finally, after some extra hints and nearly two days of hunting, Halo 5’s hidden mongoose race is activated.
