Police reported that a gunshot wound had been reported on Highway 670 in Villa Evangelina in the afternoon for a gomera in the town of Manatí.
According to preliminary information, Roberto Ángel Martínez Álvarez, a 35-year-old resident of the city of Barceloneta, was walking through the aforementioned place when a vehicle stopped and four people with a firearm got out.
They attacked him in the area of the head and immediately shot him in the right side of the thigh.
Martínez Álvarez, was transported to the Dr. Center Hospital in Manatí, attended by the doctor on duty who took several stitches in his head and has a gunshot wound with entrance and exit in the right thigh, referred him to the Medical Center of Rio Piedras and his stable condition.
Agent Isaías Ayala, of the Manatí District, is investigating and Agent Samuel Ramos Cordero, of the Arecibo Area Homicide Division, continues the investigation.
