The actress originally pleaded not guilty to the charges when she was first charged last November, but later changed her guilty plea on April 14 this year.

After pleading guilty, the court delayed her sentence and placed her in police custody for a pregnancy test. This is required by law in Ghana, where the laws state that if a woman is convicted of a crime that cannot be punished by death, the Court will order a pregnancy test unless there are reasonable grounds to believe that the woman is postmenopausal .

Because the test was negative, the sentence was final.

The photo that catalyzed the case was published on June 30 last year, when Brown celebrated his son’s seventh birthday.

The message accompanying the image read: “I’m naked for you, because that’s how I gave birth to you, so if you meet me somewhere, don’t come by, but see me as your mother who brought you back to life.”

The prosecution said the defendant’s behavior undermines his son’s dignity, among other things.

Brown, the Prosecution said, was arrested and in her cautionary statement admitted accidentally posting the nude photo with her son.

However, the Prosecution insisted that Brown deliberately released the images. The court thought something similar in its considerations when it indicated that the actress had acted intentionally, endangering the minor’s integrity.

The lawyer’s arguments, which Brown emphasized as a single mother and the child’s only support, mattered little. He also warned that the verdict could end the promising career of the actress and that he had downloaded the material from his networks, offered a public apology and accepted the charges, which were also his first offense.
