Nestled among all the hardware announcements Apple shared today at the Spring Forward event, the company had a nice surprise for Apple TV + subscribers waiting for something new to watch the service. The second season of Ted Lasso starts streaming on July 23. If you’re unfamiliar with the show, Jason Sudeikis stars as an ever-positive football coach leading an English football team.
The only problem is that he has no experience in sports. With season two, Lasso’s team, AFC Richmond, is in a rut, with the team coming eight times in a row, but that doesn’t seem to have dampened his enthusiasm. Sudeikis won a number of awards last season for his performance as Lasso, and the show is one of Apple’s breakthrough originals.
