There are currently thousands of vaccine doses available in clinics this week with walk-in hours starting every day from Wednesday.
Clinics are held at the Arcata Community Center, located at 321 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy., With walk-in hours from Wednesday to Sunday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This availability is for those looking for their first or second dose.
Walk-ins are available on a first-come, first-served basis, although booking an appointment is the best way to make sure a vaccine is available when you want it. Spanish and English speakers are available in each clinic.
Appointments for Moderna and Pfizer clinics this week can be made at MyTurn.ca.gov. When prompted to “Enter your address or zip code,” county residents must only enter “Humboldt County” on the “Let’s Find an Appointment” page of the My Turn website, the third page of the Appointment Planner. This means that residents will enter “Humboldt County” in two different places.
All county residents aged 16 and older can register, but 16- and 17-year-olds must only register for the Pfizer vaccine. Minors must have proof of age and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The following clinics and vaccines are available by appointment and for walk-ins:
- Wednesday – Moderna (18 years and older)
- Thursday – Pfizer (16 years and older)
- Friday – Moderna (18 and older)
- Saturday – Pfizer (16 years and older)
- Sunday – Moderna and Pfizer (16 years and older)
