Details of Prince Philip’s funeral that he himself planned were revealed on Thursday. The British royal family unveiled the names of the 30 guests selected by Isabel II and that Harry will not walk next to his brother William during the courtship.

Funeral arrangements have been in the works for years, but the memorial service had to be adjusted in the aftermath of the pandemic. Only close relatives and friends of the patriarch of the Windsor clan were invited to the ceremony.

The Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, who meet for the first time since Harry’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, are separated by their cousin Peter Phillips., son of Princess Anna, as they walk in line behind their grandfather’s coffin.

When the casket is taken to St George’s Chapel in Windsor, William is ahead of his brother as the rest of the royal family arrive in pairs. Buckingham Palace officials have confirmed that royals will not wear their military robes – a last-minute decision Elizabeth II made to avoid humiliating Harry and benefiting her son, Prince Andrew – but their medals of honor will.

Royals not participating in the procession, such as the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, will join the 94-year-old monarch to see the funeral procession arriving at the chapel. This also includes direct relatives on the part of the Duke who will be present, including Philip’s grandnephews, the Crown Prince of Baden and the Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg.

Elizabeth II, along with the 30 guests on the service, will wear a face mask and sit alone as Saint George at Windsor Castle, with all ceremony participants following hygiene guidelines and socially separated from each other.

The guests also include all of the Duke’s grandchildren and their husbands, the children of the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret, and Philip’s three German relatives. Also invited is a close friend of the Duke, Countess Mountbatten of Burma.
