The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and the Republic Navy reported seizing 232 packets of cocaine near the shores of Barbacoa Beach, Miches Municipality, El Seibo Province.

Authorities indicated that through an operation near the shoreline of the aforementioned beach, they started a prosecution against several individuals who managed to evade the fence and enter a wooded area in the area.

They then pointed out that through a search throughout the area, they found seven nylon bags, containing 232 packs, which, after analysis by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences, determined that the substance is cocaine and weighed 240. 08. kilogram.

Aside from the drugs seized, the authorities have not arrested the men allegedly involved in the case.

They added that at the site where the drug was seized, several jugs full of fuel were also found.
