Rumors of DMX’s death were hot on social media tonight (April 8). The rapper’s manager Steve Rifkind shared a statement on Instagram saying the rapper is still alive and livelihood. “Everyone, please stop posting these rumors,” he said. “DMX is still alive. Yes, he has life support, but please, it doesn’t help anyone by showing them these false rumors. Let the family relax overnight. “
On April 3 TMZ reported that the 50-year-old rapper was hospitalized and in critical condition, after a heart attack preceded by an apparent drug overdose. DMX’s manager Nakia Walker said New York Times on April 4th DMX was in a ‘vegetative state’. TMZ reported today that a new round of neurological testing had shown no improvement in the condition of DMX. Rifkind says the family is expected to issue a statement tomorrow (April 9).
