Ana María Romo Fonseca – Civic Movement

On March 9, the Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) party registered Ana María Romo Fonseca with the Zacatecas State Electoral Institute (IEEZ) as its candidate for state governor.

Fonseca, 56, was born in the city of Aguascalientes and holds a degree in Accounting and Public Administration and Law from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ) and Durango (UAD), as well as a master’s degree in Public and Business Administration. . in Taxation, Electoral Law and Government Control by the UAZ.

She also holds a PhD in Public Administration from the International Law and State Institute of Guadalajara, Jalisco; in Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Amparo from UAD and Honoris Causa from Constructivist Analytical University of Mexico.

Romo Fonseca had been a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) since 1988 and in 1991 chaired Arturo Romo’s Campaign Committee, which would rule Zacatecas from 1992 to 1998. During that period, she was Finance Minister from 1992 to 1996 and head of the General Comptroller’s Office. of the entity between 1996 and 1998.

On March 1, David Monreal Ávila made his candidacy for governor of Zacatecas official by registering with the entity’s IEE under the coalition of Morena, the PT, PVEM and Nueva Alianza.

Monreal Ávila was born on March 22, 1966 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas and studied law at UAZ from 1985 to 1990. Between those years he had intense political activity, being Secretary-General of the PRI’s youth political organization Zacatecano in 1987. and in 1988 he became campaign coordinator for his brother, Ricardo Monreal, who wanted to become a federal delegate in the election process that year.

A year later, he was appointed Undersecretary of Communications and Transport in the entity’s National Farmers’ Federation, as well as Private Secretary to the then President of the Municipality of Zacatecas, Jesús Manuel Díaz Casas.

Flavio Campos Miramontes – PEACE to develop Zacatecas

The party PAZ Para Desarrollar Zacatecas has appointed Flavio Campos Miramontes as a candidate, who registered with IEEZ on March 5.

Campos Miramontes is a chemical engineer and also holds a Master of Science; he is committed to being a university and a university lecturer.

As part of his political experience, he was Zacatecas’ deputy proportional representation for the Unified Socialist Party of Mexico between 1986 and 1989, so this candidacy represents one of his most significant returns in this field.

Guadalupe Medina Padilla – Social Encounter Party
