President Luis Abinader guaranteed that the country has enough vaccines to complete the second phase of the vaccination plan.

“We have one more vaccine here to conclude with the second phase, we have enough vaccines,” said the president when asked about the arrival of the million doses of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine that had entered the country on March 25. must have arrived.

Speaking to the press while overseeing the vaccination process at Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (Unphu), the president explained that the pharmaceutical company has had supply problems, so it doesn’t know exactly what day of arrival.

The president said projections are that the second dose is expected to be completed next week to initiate inoculation in people over the age of 60.

The head of state said the vaccination process is going as expected and people have gone to the vaccination centers, although some have not left on the day corresponding to them.

“The vaccination process is going well, we are counting, according to forecasts, at each stage and by the numbers that about 80 percent of the vaccinees are alive in the first stage, but this will be fulfilled, there are some that I will play one day and the other days will come, but that will be organized, we hope it will end as planned ”.
