“I was actually already retired, actually I was concentrating, working, when Alexis came up to me and made me this proposal. I had decided my career was over but I made the decision it was because what better way than to end my career years by being in the number one group in the world, Grupo Manía, and for me a privilege, an honor and I am extremely grateful that I have taken this into consideration, ”said Del Valle in a virtual press conference.
He promised to give the best of himself on stage, for which he has already started working.
The new member’s arrival follows Barroso’s departure last Thursday for personal reasons that Serrano said he was unaware of.
“The other member is leaving for personal reasons, which we don’t know, but we respect,” said the orchestra’s leader.
Serrano was enthusiastic about the delivery of Del Valle, which he had as a competitor to the genre and a friend from the stage.
“This guy is going to add a lot to the group and I am very grateful to him for being in the group,” he said of the interpreter, whose input was also received by the other two members, Daniel Serrano and Emmanuel Vizcarrondo. “We understand it is a powerful tool to carry on this legacy,” he continued.
Del Valle will have his first performance with the orchestra tomorrow, Tuesday, in the Telemundo program “Raymond y sus amigos”.
Grupo Manía is currently promoting the single “Hula Hoop”, composed by Daniel Serrano, with an arrangement that captures the rhythmic essence of the orchestra.
