Wrestling Inc. was the first to report that Andrade had made an official request for a WWE release with the most recent RAW footage on March 8. As expected, several details about WWE status and Andrade’s near future have flooded the internet.
PWInsider, a generally trusted source on such matters, independently corroborated the story with multiple WWE sources. One person close to the situation told PWInsider that Andrade looked ‘absolutely awful’ on RAW last Monday.

What went wrong for Andrade in WWE?
WWE signed Andrade in 2015, and from the outset, the highly-rated wrestler was expected to be the company’s next big Spanish star.
The intentions of the promotion to make Andrade a huge name became apparent when El Idolo got an NXT championship reign.
It is to WWE’s credit that the company has done a good job of building the alliance between Andrade and Zelina Vega in the black and gold brand. However, they failed to replicate the magic on the main grid.
Andrade received his call-up in 2018 along with Zelina Vega, and the duo showed a lot of promise during the early days.
El Idolo gradually won the US title, and many believed the former NXT champion was protected from a push in the line. The appointment of Paul Heyman as executive director of RAW also seemed like a blessing.
Heyman loved the Mexican superstar and wanted him to become a top executive of the red brand. It was all going well until WWE decided to kick the former ECW boss from the role of RAW Executive Director.
To make matters worse, Vince McMahon reportedly didn’t see much in Andrade. It is also no coincidence that the Superstar was not drafted in the WWE Draft 2020.
