The biographical film Vico C, The Life of the Philosopher, focusing on one of the pioneers of Puerto Rican rap, is available in Latin America through Netflix.
The production was filmed entirely in Puerto Rico, premiered in 2017 in theaters on the island, as well as in the Dominican Republic and the United States. He was also on the streaming platform Pantaya.
The project produced by Piñolywood Studios is a biographical film about the life of singer-songwriter Luis Armando Lozada, better known as Vico C, nicknamed “the philosopher” for his lyrics about social conscience, often based on his experiences.

Directed by Eduardo “Transfor” Ortiz (Los Domirriqueños), it was the debut of Luis Armando “Sugar” Lozada Jr., son of Vico C, who played his father. Mariangelie Vélez and Cesar “TNT” Farrait are also part of the main cast.
