Francisco Lindor gives Mets a taste of what’s to come

Frankie says: Relax

Francisco Lindor was 2-for-3 with his first hits of the exhibition season in the 9-5 loss of the Mets against the Nationals in West Palm Beach. Lindor singled twice after starting the spring hitless in seven at bats.

Kilome Crash

Franklyn Kilome pitched the eighth inning and gave up two earned runs on two hits and a walk. He also threw one of the four wild pitches for Mets-pitchers.

Caught my eye

Brad Hand, a lefthanded reliever who chased the Mets during the winter, threw the sixth inning and gave up one earned run on one basehit and one walk. The Nationals signed a one-year contract worth $ 10.5 million with Hand.

Tuesday schedule

Taijuan Walker is scheduled for his Grapefruit League debut with the Mets, who will face the Cardinals in Port St. Lucie.
