We hate to remind you, but it’s already March, and that means Nintendo will be pulling the plug on some Mario products at the end of the month. This includes Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. 35 on Switch, the original Super Mario Maker online services are shut down and the new Super Mario Game & Watch system is no longer available for purchase.
If you thought this was all one big joke, no – it really does seem like Mario’s days are numbered from March 31st. To top it all off, Netflix has now unveiled The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon series is pulled from the streaming service. The last date to view it will be … you guessed it, March 31, 2021.
It seems this is likely because The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. is now available on Paramount Plus. The Netflix removal date of March 31 is certainly an unfortunate timing.
While this seems to have worked out, Nintendo still hasn’t given a reason why games like Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. 35 on the same date from the Switch eShop.
While this is just a guess, it looks like the video game giant would much rather get started The Legend of Zelda 35th anniversary. Link’s anniversary starts in July when Skyward Sword HD lands on Switch. Nintendo is expected to make more Zelda announcements in the second half of 2021.
