Queen calls for unity ahead of Harry and Meghan’s interview

Queen Elizabeth will discuss the importance of getting together in a new Commonwealth speech ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s all-encompassing interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Senior members of the Royal Family will gather for the annual Commonwealth Service Day. While COVID-19 precautions can prevent the usual festivities, The Queen will instead share a specially recorded message for television show, “A Celebration For Commonwealth Day,” Mirror reports.

She is joined by Prince Charles, Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Sophie Wessex. Last year’s Commonwealth Service Day marked Harry and Meghan’s last engagement as senior members of the royal family.

The Queen’s message of unity will be broadcast on BBC One on Sundays at 5pm UK time, eight hours before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s CBS interview, set to be shown in the US on Sunday 7 March at 8pm. UK time. UK ITV will broadcast the full interview Monday at 9pm
