The publication of Resolution 1 of March 3, 2021, which “temporarily and until the state of National Emergency is lifted, sets the minimum score for approval for the basic certification exam in medicine”, no nothing went right and is preparing to generate a new one controversy.

According to the resolution published in the official Gazette As of Friday, March 5, the minimum score for the Basic Medical Certification Exam is determined to be 360, which corresponds to the settled percentage of 34.5%.

The second article states that the rate will be reconsidered by the Interinstitutional Council for Basic Certification in Medicine once the state of emergency is lifted.

In 2019, a resolution established that as of May of that year, the cleared score of the basic medicine certification exam was 405, which corresponds to the settled percentage of 42.00%.

Subsequently, in another resolution, issue 3 of June 12, 2020, it was determined that the equal percentage of approval for the basic certification exam in medicine is 41.5%.

There have already been reactions on Twitter. Jorge Sinclair (@ jorgesinclair05) wrote: “ if it were a school where the grade is based on 5, it would suffice 1.7. Yes one with seven

For his part, the doctor Julio Sandoval (@DrJulioSandoval), also responded, writing that: “ Lowering the pass score of the medical certification exam is harmful to people’s health. Who invented it? Looks like it was custom made for someone. Please reconsider!
