The 54-year-old designer’s body was found at his home in Quezon City, Philippines. At present, the cause of his death is unknown. Gathercole began her career after she fled the Philippines at the age of 14 following abuse and child abuse.

He settled in Saudi Arabia, where his employer encouraged him to become a designer. She spent twenty years there, until she presented her designs at Miami Fashion Week in 2010.
