The song Homeland of Death for Life, official response to the matter Homeland and Life with Raúl Torres at the helm, there were over 50,000 dislikes (I don’t like it) on YouTube, just 48 hours after release.
From the very first minutes of its release, the song received a rejection of the majority on social networks and on the official media channel Cubadebate, with a lot dislikes They were increasing at full speed and most of the comments were negative.
The poor billing of the video clip, the lyrics, the interpretations and the fact that the government reacts to a song have led to memes, ridicule, criticism and confusion.
If the government’s disproportionate response to a song, setting up a campaign of discrediting and attacking artists, keeps the regime pretty bare and bad in the international gaze, this forced response song and its thunderous rejection speak for themselves.
Politics aside, the song has received an outpouring of criticism from a musical and performance point of view, even from people and artists who have sympathy for the government
