Barcelona vs Sevilla | Copa del Rey Also discussed Pedri’s return

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has made it clear the arrest of the former club president Josep Maria Bartomeu is not a good thing for the Blaugrana.
Bartomeu and three others – CEO Oscar Grau and lawyer Roman Gomez Bridges, as well as former director Jaume Masferrer – were arrested Monday as part of the ‘Barcagate‘scandal, from which the Dutch coach distanced himself.
“It doesn’t look good for the club,” Koeman said at Tuesday’s press conference prior to the game.
‘We have to wait and see what happens. I was not here [at the time], I do not know what happened. We can’t do anything, we have to focus on football. “
Koeman spoke for the second leg of BarcelonaCopa del Rey’s semi-final tie against Sevilla, where they are behind 2-0.
“We know we have a bad result to come back from, but I think it is possible,” he said.
Oddly enough, Barcelona defeated Sevilla 2-0 in LaLiga Santander last weekend at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, a match in which Pedri had to get off and was even seen on crutches when the team returned to Barcelona. Still, he could be back in time for Wednesday’s game.
“There are things that cannot be explained”, Koeman noted.
“Yesterday afternoon I was surprised. He trained individually and today he had no problems.
“We’ll see in tomorrow’s practice. I think he could be on the list.”
