Former President Trump and former first lady Melania Trump were vaccinated at the White House in January, two sources confirm to CBS News.
It is not clear why the former president did not make any public comments about his vaccination against the coronavirus, given the high level of skepticism about the vaccine, especially among RepublicansTrump urged attendees in his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Sunday to get their COVID-19 shots, but he did not mention he had been vaccinated.
Whether the president received both shots has also not been disclosed. Mr. Trump COVID-19 contracted in October.
Other top US officials, including President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, received the vaccine at televised events. Former Vice President Mike Pence also received his photo on camera to build public confidence in the vaccine.
