LaLiga Santander Will have to reduce labor costs

R.eports start to appear with details about the updated salary limits for each team in LaLiga Santander after the January carryover period.
Any Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Betis have seen their salary ceilings drop since the end of the summer carryover period.
In findings from Cope and Radio MARCA, Real Madrid‘s has shrunk the most by 48 million euros to 420 million euros, while Barcelona‘s has fallen by 35 million euros to 347 million euros and Atleticos fell 34 million euros to 218 million euros.
As a result of these new limits, the clubs that have seen their limits cut will have to find a way to lower their labor costs in the coming months.
Other clubs that have seen their caps fall are Athletic Club, Real Sociedad, Villarreal, Elche, Celta Vigo, Real Valladolid, Granada, Eibar and Huesca
From the other teams, Valencia, Celta Vigo, Osasuna, Cadiz, Alaves and Levante have seen their hats rise while Getafe‘s has remained relatively the same.
The new salary caps are expected to be officially announced by LaLiga on Tuesday, when they will also announce losses of one billion euros for the 2020/21 season.
These numbers, plus the lack of movement from LaLiga clubs during the January transfer window, exposes the impact of the coronavirus crisis on Spanish football’s finances.
