Philadelphia police are looking for missing 13-year-old boy Jalen Maxwell, last seen Friday

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – Philadelphia police are looking for a 13-year-old boy who they say hasn’t been seen since Friday night.

Jalen Maxwell was reported missing on Friday around 7 p.m. from his home on Anchor Street, 1700 block in Wissinoming.

Priscilla Maxwell, the boy’s mother, says her son has mild autism and cerebral palsy. She says he will respond to his name when called.

Maxwell believes Jalen left his home after running into trouble for misusing a school computer.

Police say a tip came in on Friday evening that he was spotted near Aramingo Avenue and Ann Street in Port Richmond.

“If he’s with a friend from school, if he’s with someone, help me take my son home. Please call me and tell me where he is. It’s not safe for him to be here alone. I love it. of your Jalen. Please come home, “said Maxwell.

Jalen is a seventh grader at St. Martin of Tours School in Oxford Circle. Jennifer Nobles, its director, describes him as a very social and sweet student.

“I’ve been in school for three years now and I have card after card from him for vacation. At the end of the year he was going to write a card wishing me a good summer,” Nobles said.

She says all students learn virtually on Friday, when Jalen went missing. She says students and teachers have been looking for him since Friday.

“The school has really been committed to this, and we’re doing everything we can to get information about Jalen,” said Nobles.

Maxwell says just say his name when you see him and tell him he has no problems.

‘He’s very friendly. He doesn’t see fear as we see fear, ”Maxwell said.

Jalen is described as 5’4, 110 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen in a green kids jacket with fur around the hood, red and black Adidas sneakers and a blue and black backpack with multiple zips and pockets.
