Taylor Swift will not reschedule delayed ‘Lover Fest’ shows

The star did social media on Friday to announce the move, which will affect shows delayed to 2021 in 2020.
Last April, Swift canceled all live performances and performances for the rest of the year in what she said was an attempt to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Taylor Swift has just canceled all of her shows in 2020

“I’m so sorry, but I can’t reschedule the shows we’ve postponed,” she wrote on Friday. “While refunds have been available since we first postponed the Lover Fest shows, many of you stuck to your tickets and I too stuck to the idea that we could reschedule.”

Swift joins other artists who have canceled or rescheduled tour dates such as Justin Bieber, Niall Horan and Bad Bunny.

Taylor said in her statement that she is disappointed to have to cancel.

“This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape will look like in the near future,” she wrote. “… I miss you terribly and can’t wait until we can all be together safely at shows again.”

Despite not being able to see fans live, Swift surprised them earlier this month by announcing that on April 9 she will be releasing one of her first albums, “Fearless”.

She has already released “Folklore” and “Evermore”, two re-recorded albums that were both released during the pandemic.

Despite calling off her postponed “Lover Fest” shows, Swift has received six Grammy nominations with the potential to win Album of the Year for 2021.
