New Pokemon Snap gameplay reveals new features

New Pokemon Snap’s gameplay has revealed new features including tools, photo editing, and more. During today’s Pokemon Presents broadcast, the gameplay showcased the game’s photo editing mode, which allows you to modify, decorate, and share your snaps. Photos can be rated online by other players and even displayed by the developers.Shot AI scores were rated by Pose, Size, Direction, Placement, Alternate Pokemon, and Background, with both a point score and a star rating awarded. Photos will also seemingly be used to fill a Pokemon Photodex.

There are also new tools in the form of Illumina Orbs, items that can make Pokemon glow and change their elemental effects – presumably for higher photo scores. We also see fruit thrown and melodies played to evoke new gestures from Pokemon.

The game’s story isn’t entirely clear, but we’ll see the mythical Pokemon Celebi pass by at the end of the new trailer. New Pokemon Snap will be released on April 30th.
