The remaining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC characters may have leaked

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s the remaining DLC characters may have been leaked. This week Nintendo unveiled Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 come to the game and fill the next slot of Fighters Pass Volume 2, which is slowly but surely nearing its end. During this process, Nintendo gave credence to one Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Leak from earlier this year that apparently passed word from Pyra and Mythra added before they were announced.

The leak in question dates back to early 2021 and claimed that Nintendo was planning a special three-hour concert in 2022 for Super Smash Bros. UltimateAt the time, many immediately wrote off the leak because it came from 4chan, but when listing the track list for the concert, the leaker posted Counterattack from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 right after Sephiroth’s One-Winged Angel theme. Why does this stand out? Well, not only do Pyra and Mythra come right after Sephiroth, but the same number was used in the characters’ reveal trailer. In other words, at the time the leaker was suggesting characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 were the following. And it turns out they are.

Could the leaker in question have been lucky now? Absolutely, but that’s unbelievably lucky, because no one expected Pyra and Mythra. That said, if the leak is real – and it looks like it could be – then Crash Bandicoot’s turn comes before a character comes out. Monster Hunter completes the Fighters Pass.

Of course, all this should be taken with a grain of salt for the time being. The recent announcement from Pyra and Mythra has Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players re-examining this leak, which may end up being legitimate. It wouldn’t be the first time a random 4chan leak turned out to be real, but it’s certainly not common.
