The Pokémon Company Reveals Top 30 Pocket Monsters, According to the Japanese Twitter Poll

As you may have heard, on February 27th (that’s this weekend) is Pokémon’s 25th anniversary. Leading up to this, The Pokémon Company held a poll, asking Japanese trainers to vote for their favorite pocket monster via Twitter. To vote, the participants had to share the name of a pocket monster in Japanese on the social media platform.

In the end, more than a million votes were cast, with the most voted Pokémon receiving nearly 69,000 entries. So who were the best choices? First place was Dedenne, second place Cinccino (54,444 votes) and third place Sableye with 45,562 votes. The face of the franchise (Pikachu) was ranked seventh.
