There is a Pokémon news event tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET

It’s the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon game series and the creators have news to celebrate the occasion. The Pokémon Company has announced a “Pokémon Presents” virtual event on February 26 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. It doesn’t provide much guidance on what to expect, but there should be 20 minutes of new information. You can tune in to YouTube.

Unofficial expectations are high. Like Nintendo Life notes, Pokémon Center and French tipster Kelios have both heard that there may be remakes of the DS classics Pokémon Diamond and PearlIf true, these would be closer to the 2006 originals than the Let’s go titles were after Yellow

Of course, these aren’t the only candidates for news. The company could unveil a new mobile game or shed more light on upcoming releases, such as New Pokémon Snap and Pokémon UniteYou can also get news about tie-ins such as the Detective Pikachu 2 movie. This can be a packed event, even if Pokémon Day (which includes a Post Malone digital performance) takes place a day later.
