Amazon deal offers discounts on the best noise canceling headphones under $ 100

Today’s Dealmaster is awarded a nifty deal on Anker’s Soundcore Life Q30, as the wireless noise-canceling headphones are currently available for $ 68 at various retailers. That’s $ 12 off the regular going price of the device online and only $ 4 higher than the lowest price we’ve tracked.

While we recently praised the $ 200 Puro Pro headphones, the Soundcore Life Q30 is a great choice for those who can’t spend that much. We haven’t formally reviewed the headphones on the site, but we plan to make them a budget pick in an upcoming guide to wireless noise canceling headphones. For less than $ 100, they offer a comfortable design that is well padded and light on the head (if heavy on plastic), massive battery life that can deliver over 40 hours per charge (depending on volume), USB-C charging , physical volume and playback controls and convenient pairing of multiple devices.

In terms of sound quality, the Soundcore Life Q30 has a “V-shaped” signature, meaning that they accentuate the bass and treble at the expense of some mids. The bass is mostly emphasized, so a lot of hip-hop and pop songs will pack some serious punch. The headphones are certainly not a device for audio purists who want their cans to be as faithful as possible to a song’s recording quality, but if you prefer a more excited sound (and many do) then the Soundcore Life Q30 provides that without sounding sloppy. Plus, Anker’s companion app has a graphic EQ with several presets that let you adjust the sound to something brighter or flatter.

While the headphones’ active noise cancellation is not as effective as that of Sony’s WH-1000XM4, it can still muffle a significant amount of low-end noise (eg, an airplane engine or a booming train) while providing a noticeable level of higher – pitch sounds. The noise canceling also includes a “transparency” mode that blends ambient sound with your music without even overwhelming. Again, this isn’t as smooth as similar features on more expensive pairs, and it has a more noticeable effect on the headphone audio quality. But since the Soundcore Life Q30 costs a quarter of the price, all of this comes close enough to be of great value.
