New Houston head coach David Culley got the word straight from the source: Deshaun Watson has no intention of ever playing for the Texans again.

Watson met with Culley on Friday and told him he wanted to be traded, ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports.

While Watson has not made that statement publicly, it has been clear for weeks that this is Watson’s position. He doesn’t want to play for the Texans and is angling for a trade.

Texan owner Cal McNair has insisted that Watson remain a Texan, but at some point, someone has to blink. The Texans could get a tremendous amount of players and draft picks if they were willing to trade Watson, and with every new report Watson remains buried, the chances are that the team will eventually give in and give Watson the trade he wants.
