To deny‘s upcoming remaster – formally titled Kidney Replicant ver. 1.22474487139 … – has a new expanded trailer ahead of the game’s launch on April 23rd on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
The trailer is in Japanese, so this is for hardcore To deny fans (is there any other kind?), but even if you’re not fluent in the language, the trailer shows the cutscenes, combat and world design of the game. Toylogic is taking on the remastering project for publisher Square Enix.
Chris Plante, resident of Polygon To deny obsessive, noted in December that the “look and feel of the Kidney games kept a bunch of potential fans out of the Kidney universe.” So it’s remastered Kidney Replicant ver. 1.22474487139 … has the ability “to break that barrier with a more visually extravagant and mechanically welcoming experience.”
To deny launched in April 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; the sequel, Nier: Automata was developed by PlatinumGames and launched in 2017.
