A camera saw Tiger Woods driving in a Los Angeles County neighborhood on a twisting and winding road just before crashing and sustaining multiple leg injuries.
TMZ Sports obtained the video late on Tuesday, showing the 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV driving behind a minivan at around 7:05 a.m. local time on Hawthorne Blvd near Rancho Palos Verdes.
The SUV has the same Genesis Invitational badge on the door seen on the Woods crash site. Woods was in town for the event.

The images do not show the actual crash, but instead show the vehicles climbing a steep slope. On the other hand, cyclists ride downhill. At first glance, it did not appear that the vehicle was accelerating quickly or swinging uncontrollably.
It is unclear who was in the minivan before Woods.
Police said Woods crashed around 7:12 a.m. local time.

Los Angeles County sheriff Alex Villanueva said that Woods was driving at a “relatively faster than normal speed” when he crashed in a hilly area and that Woods was driving north when he hit a center divider and flew several hundred yards. He noted that there was no indication of a disability when the emergency personnel arrived.
[The vehicle] crossed the middle dividing line, to the point that it rested a few hundred yards away, so clearly indicating that they were going at a relatively faster speed than normal. But because it’s going downhill, it leans and bends too, “Villanueva said.” That area has a high frequency of accidents. It’s not uncommon. “

He added that the front of the vehicle was “totally destroyed”, but the interior was “more or less intact”.
Deputy Carlos Gonzalez, one of the first responders to arrive on the scene, said Woods knew where he was and what time it was. He described Woods as “calm and clear”.
Two sources told Fox News that Woods would be working with Discovery Networks to teach behind-the-scenes “lesson classes” with various stars, including NFL’s Drew Brees and Justin Herbert.
