HBO Max will not remove Woody Allen movies from its streaming platform, despite HBO now broadcasting its four-part documentary series “Allen v. Farrow”. The show investigates Dylan Farrow’s allegations of sexual abuse against Woody Allen, which has left many viewers astounded at how HBO was able to air the series while simultaneously streaming six of Allen’s movies on HBO Max. The Allen movies available to stream now include “Scoop,” “Broadway Danny Rose,” “Shadows and Fog,” “Radio Days,” “Another Woman,” and “September,” five of which star Mia Farrow.

“These titles will remain available in the library so viewers can make their own informed decisions about screening for the work,” HBO said in a statement to The Wrap.

HBO’s decision to continue to stream Allen’s films infuriated many industry voices on social media, with Ernest Media Empire journalist Ernest Owens write on Twitter“White privilege is that Woody Allen has his films run on HBO Max, while he is now running a documentary about his alleged sexual abuse. He collects a check, while being exposed on the same platform at the same time. Gross.”

Allen v. Farrow, directed by Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick, began its four-part run on HBO last Sunday. Shortly after the first episode aired, Allen and his wife Soon-Yi Previn released a statement condemning the project and the network for broadcasting it.

“These documentary makers had no interest in the truth,” Allen and Previn said jointly. Instead, they spent years working in secret with the Farrows and their forces to come up with an ax job full of lies. Woody and Soon-Yi were approached less than two months ago and were given only a matter of days to ‘respond’. Of course they refused to do this. “
