If Xavier Becerra is confirmed by the Senate as Secretary of Health and Human Services, America will “take our version of [WHO Director-General] Tedros [Ghebreyesus]Hoover Institution senior fellow Victor Davis Hanson told “The Ingraham Angle” Monday.
“He’s a very effective hardcore leftist politician,” Hanson said of Becerra, a former California congressman and current state attorney general. “He has worked for tenure for the past 40 years or as an elected or appointed official. He has no experience in the private sector. He knows nothing about healthcare.”
“He’s our version of Tedros, the head of the World Health Organization – the first [director-general] not having a doctor “
Hanson later pointed out that both Donald Trump’s HHS secretaries were more qualified to hold the position than Becerra. Former Georgia Rep. Tom Price, he noted, was a physician, and Alex Azar had been an executive at pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly & Co.
CRUZ AGAINST BECERRA AS ‘ABSURD’ BIDDEN CHOICE FOR HHS SECRETARY
Hostess Laura Ingraham also pointed out that Becerra is a staunch supporter of abortion rights, claiming that illegal immigration is not really illegal because the border crossers “have not committed a crime against anyone”.
Hanson added that Biden’s choice of Becerra is also very similar to Charles Bolden’s choice of Barack Obama to become a NASA administrator.

Bolden created a firestorm after telling an Al Jazeera interviewer that Obama wanted him, among other goals, to “ find perhaps the most important … a way to reach the Muslim world and get in much more contact with predominantly Muslim countries. to help them feel good about their historical contributions to science. “
“I’m afraid Mr. Becerra, in the time of a pandemic, is going to say that health care will be defined as immigration, or that it will be defined as gun control,” said Hanson, noting ways that Becerra could codify liberal policy goals into his role.
