“The View” co-host Meghan McCain tore into CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on Monday about what she called the “comedy shows” he hosted with his brother, Democratic New York governor Andrew Cuomo, during the brewing nursing home scandal last year.
Chris Cuomo, along with CNN, have made an unprecedented effort to downplay and stave off the controversies surrounding the New York governor, with the far-left network giving little to no airtime to developments in the nursing home scandal – while keeping the ‘ Cuomo Prime Time ‘host free rein to conduct friendly, comical interviews with the scandal-plagued governor in the early months of the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday, anchor took a swipe at McCain over a viral clip featuring comments she made in “ The View, ” in which she saw White House medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, criticized the vaccine’s timeline and uncertainty as to when Americans in her age and health bracket are eligible to be vaccinated.
“The fact that I, Meghan McCain, co-host of ‘The View’, I don’t know when or how to get a vaccine, because the rollout of my age range and my health is so vague, I have no idea when and how I’ll be able to get it, ”McCain stated.

Cuomo responded on Twitter.
McCain fired back, hitting anchor as well as his brother, and urged the governor of New York to apologize to the families who lost loved ones in the state’s nursing homes during the pandemic, including Fox News senior meteorologist Janice Dean .
“You and your creepy brother did comedy shows with gigantic Q-tips and joked about his sex life while covering the number of deaths in nursing homes in New York,” McCain told the CNN presenter. ‘Why doesn’t your brother end up apologizing to @Janice Dean and the other family members he helped kill?’
There is growing criticism of CNN’s Cuomo for avoiding the nursing home scandal. Last week, CNN said the anchor had been banned from coverage of his relative and admitted that network boss had lifted the “rule” for the host to conduct his friendly brotherly interviews in the early months of the pandemic.

Cuomo’s administration is reportedly under investigation by the FBI and the U.S. law firm in Brooklyn after critics accused officials of covering up the actual number of COVID deaths in nursing homes across the state. Early in the pandemic, the governor issued assisted living facilities to admit COVID-positive patients to keep hospital beds free.
