Vaccination appointments to resume in Los Angeles after weather delays

LOS ANGELES (KABC) – Vaccine shipments delayed due to weather are now underway, and vaccination appointments resume in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Mayor Eric Garcetti said.

Last week, the city had to delay at least 12,500 vaccination appointments at the six largest city-run venues, including Dodger Stadium, as shipments were delayed by icy weather across the country. At least 60,000 doses were delayed in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Some other local jurisdictions, such as Orange County, also had to delay appointments due to shipping delays.

Garcetti said on Sunday that the doses will be sent and the city-run sites will resume on Tuesday. Those with postponed appointments will be notified on Monday about the relocation.
