Chelsea Timmons decided to make it her last delivery as the roads in Austin, Texas, became smoother. When she eventually got stuck in the customer’s driveway, there turned out to be a large silver lining.
Not wanting to walk up the driveway, the HEB grocer tried to get up the steep slope with her car, but she slid helplessly into the yard.
Although the couple tried to move their car, the attempts failed – and the AAA traffic service was already inundated with phone calls.
Then, with the weather getting worse and safety concerns growing, Nina Richardson and Doug Condon decided that she should settle in their home.
“It’s exactly what you do when something shows up,” Nina told ABC News.
“We have daughters and we hope that if they ever got into a situation like that, there would be someone who would open their home and help them,” Doug added.

Over dinner, they learned that Chelsea would one day want to open a bakery – and soon she offered to bake them a delicious gluten-free coconut cake.

She slept in the guest room for five days, befriended the dog, and realized how lucky she was in general.
“I found out my apartment was losing water, losing power, so being stuck here actually turned out to be a better situation. Most of my family lost electricity for several days. “

“I certainly ate a lot better here,” she exclaimed. “They made me feel comfortable and part of the family.”
