WWE will be celebrating the Elimination Chamber on Sunday night, with two games taking place in the metal structure.
Here are my predictions of what will happen on the show.
For the United States Championship
Triple threat
Bobby Lashley vs Keith Lee vs Riddle
PREDICTION: Apparently there is a mystery as to whether or not Lee could be in battle, we’ll see. Lashley has been giving Riddle a tambourine for the past few weeks, so WWE clearly doesn’t want people to see him as a real contender.
Now I still think if WWE didn’t pair up with Sheamus vs McIntyre at WrestleMania the other option would be Lashley vs McIntyre, and in that scenario it would make sense for Lashley to lose the belt here. I have my doubts, but I’m going to win with Lee.
For the Women’s Tag Team Championships
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler v Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair
PREDICTION: Everything seems on the Smackdown side Belair will challenge Sasha and I think this fight will be today to accommodate that. Jax and Baszler hold themselves back.
Elimination Chamber Smackdown
Owens vs. Bryan vs. Cesaro vs. Uso vs. Zayn vs. Corbin
FORECAST: As the winner meets Roman Reigns on the same night, I see it unlikely that Samy and Corbin will win. The rest has its options:
- Owens wins and is an excuse to “really” end his fight with Roman. The problem here is that that would mean another loss for Owens to Roman.
- Bryan wins and has a good fight with Roman
- Cesaro wins and has a good drive to have a competitive fight against Roman
- Uso wins and Roman forces him to lose to him.
With this in mind, I am leaning towards Cesaro as the winner.
For the universal championship
The winner of the Smackdown Chamber meets Roman Reigns
PREDICTION: If it is indeed Cesaro, or anyone else, then I see no ending other than Roman reluctant, as the route to the fight with Edge already started heating up on Smackdown on Friday when he hit Edge with a spear. Roman retains.
Raw Elimination Chamber
For the WWE Championship
Drew McIntyre vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus
FORECAST: Fight that promises good action in the ring. There’s only one scenario you’re going to focus on here, and that’s Sheamus vs Drew. The big question is, if WWE joins Drew vs Sheamus in Wrestlemania, should Sheamus be crowned here?
I think Sheamus should lose and WWE should NOT extend this fight as I don’t see much caliber for a WM. But then again, WWE may think they don’t have to make such a solid Wrestlemania poster because they don’t have the pressure to fill a stadium. So who knows. Drew holds on.
