Skyward Sword HD accidentally leaks new feature

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite later this year. Nintendo revealed this earlier this week during a Nintendo Direct packed with news, including a (disappointing) update on it The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2At the time of the reveal, Nintendo somehow didn’t say if The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD would come with amiibo support, but a new leak suggests it does, and the leak comes from Nintendo itself.

Not long after the $ 60 port was revealed, Nintendo eShop pre-orders went live. And in the process, it was revealed that amiibo support will be added to the game as a new feature. Unfortunately, this is all the list reveals about the feature. In other words, there is no word how it will work.

If the re-release has amiibo support, you would get the Skyword sword Link amiibo are supported, and chances are other Link amiibo are also supported. But can other Nintendo characters? Probably not, but it’s on the table for now.

It’s worth noting that Nintendo has not commented on this accidental and apparent leak. If this changes, we will be sure to update the story with whatever is provided.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will be released worldwide on July 16 via Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite. Not only will it require $ 60, but it will force you to free up 7.5 GB of space to download it.
