2 women arrested for disguising themselves as ‘grandmas’ in order to jump COVID-19 vaccine line

Two women in Orlando, Florida, disguised themselves as seniors in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to jump for the COVID-19 vaccine.

The couple – 34 and 44 years old – were just minutes away from receiving their second coronavirus shots at the Orange County Convention Center on Wednesday when vaccinators noticed something about their appearance.

They “came dressed as grandmas,” Raul Pino, the Florida Department of Health’s health officer in Orange County, said during his weekly COVID-19 briefing Thursday.

“The hats, the gloves, the glasses, everything,” he added.

Police found that the dates of birth on the women’s ID cards did not match the dates they had used to register for the shots, Fox 35 Orlando reported. It’s unclear if the women were similarly disguised when they got their first shots, if at all.

The incident is under investigation. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has warned the women of violation, Click Orlando reported.
