Hopefully they are ready for the public launch tonight
Updating: Arc System Works has confirmed that their servers are back up and runningThe original story follows.
A lot of moons have come and gone as we waited for the arrival of Guilty Gear Strive’s open beta, but it seems to have been a bit of an issue right now.
Players with pre-order or early access to the beta version of the highly anticipated fighting game started reporting that the game’s servers shut down unexpectedly without warning, and now Arc System Works has responded to the issue.
The developers state on their latest Twitter post that the beta client is indeed having problems connecting to servers, making the game unplayable for now.
ArcSys is now actively investigating the cause, although they have a relatively small window to try and get things going again ahead of tonight’s public launch for all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners.
Server connections and other issues are almost self-evident in beta testing, because that’s the nature of what they are to see how their internal systems hold up under real activity.
We’ll be updating this post once the beta servers are back online, and we’ve also got our own beta getting started guide to get you ready to jump in tonight.
