Conservative talk radio pioneer Rush Limbaugh, who died Wednesday after years of battle with cancer, did a dig at President Biden two weeks before his death in his latest Facebook post.
Biden canceled “an important foreign policy speech,” folks, more than two inches of snow. I don’t love you, ‘Limbaugh wrote late on February 2.
He included a link to a story on his website entitled “Biden Sees His Shadow, Cancels Major Speech.”
A day earlier, the president pulled the plug on a trip to the State Department, where he would deliver his first major foreign policy speech as commander-in-chief, citing the few inches of snow that fell in Washington that weekend. .
The speech was “rescheduled for bad weather,” a White House official told reporters.
‘I don’t know, maybe Biden saw his shadow. What is this? Two inches of snow is going to shut down Biden? Biden is going to put a lid on it? Limbaugh wrote on his site.
At the end of his radio broadcast on Feb. 2, he admitted that he had another presenter on standby in case he couldn’t complete the show due to his deteriorating health.
Well, my friends, that’s it. Yet another excursion to excellent broadcasts in the can. I enjoyed being with you today, always do. And look forward to next time, ”said Limbaugh.
“Thanks to Mark Steyn who has been on standby all day. Not sure if I could go today and then I had to assess every hour. But we made it. Thank you, Mr. Steyn. Until next time, ”he added.
Limbaugh also took a shot at Biden on Facebook that day.
“Chances are there are a lot of people, miners, a lot of people who voted for Biden, who had no idea what he was going to do and what was to come,” he wrote.
Limbaugh’s death at the age of 70 was announced on Wednesday on his influential radio program by his wife Kathryn.
“I know I’m definitely not the Limbaugh you tuned into today. Like you, I would really like Rush to sit behind this golden microphone and welcome you for another exceptional three-hour broadcast, ”his wife told listeners in a surprising announcement.
