Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity had a strong launch in November. As it became the best-selling Musou game of all time, it was a thoroughly enjoyable prequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, starting just before the calamity.
It has been quite a complete experience already, but it looks like it’s not over yet. Confirmed in the latest Nintendo Direct, Age of Calamity will receive an Expansion Pass. Shortly after the presentation, Nintendo released this statement:
Expand your quest to save Hyrule with upcoming downloadable content as two waves of DLC are coming to the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass. Newly added characters, stages and more are all on the way, with the first wave in June and the second in November. Players who purchase this Expansion Pass from Nintendo eShop for £ 17.99 / € 19.99 will receive both waves of DLC as soon as they are released. Starting at 28, they also get an additional in-game weapon and costume for Link as a purchase bonusth May. The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass will be available shortly after the launch.
It follows the lead of Breath of the Wild, which also saw an expansion pass with two waves of DLC. We won’t see this new content arriving until May, but you can pre-order it now through the Switch eShop.
