Sergio Conceicao speaks: “We did not score by chance”, the Porto coach tells Eleven Sports. “Our pressure worked. The players interpreted perfectly what we wanted. We have always remained very organized, whether in a higher block or a lower block. The players had a fantastic game. Congratulations to them – they were the great workers of this victory. “
22:27
Andrea Pirlo speaks: “It is not easy to react when you concede a goal like that after a minute,” says the Juver coach. “Players lost confidence and this affected their performance for several minutes. Fortunately, we scored an important goal through Chiesa and we are now going to concentrate on the return game. ”

Pepe speaks: We have studied Juventus well ”, says the Porto captain. “The team coped well with what the coach asked for. We knew we had to push hard to keep Juventus from playing. It’s hard to score goals at home in these kind of matches, but we played a great game. “
22:15
Federico Chiesa speaks: “Our approach was bad and the game got even more difficult for us after that early goal,” he tells Eleven Sports. “If you are not fully focused and are not doing your very best, [teams can] punish you at this level. “

At the last whistle: Several Juventus players surrounded match referee Carlos del Carro and asked in the strongest possible terms why he hadn’t awarded them a penalty late in the match for Sanusi’s challenge against Ronaldo. I read, for what it’s worth, that Ronaldo tried to make a Cruyff turn in the penalty area, lost his balance and Sanusi just ran into him when he fell. Ergo, no punishment. However, I wouldn’t have been at all surprised if it had been given and I’m surprised Senor Del Carro wasn’t at least looking at his pitchside monitor.

Some reflections after the game: Porto will be happy with their very first win over Juventus … of course they will. However, their enjoyment of the opportunity will be tempered by the knowledge that they could and should have won with much more. The Italian champion stank of Estadio do Dragao tonight and was a pale imitation of himself. They will be hugely relieved to have escaped with just a 2-1 defeat and the away goal that came with it after such a truly dismal performance.

Full time: Porto 2-1 Juventus
Peeking! Peeking! Peeeeeeep! It’s all over in Porto, where the home team has won with an odd goal of three.
21:55
90 + 3 min: A late attack from Juventus. Cristiano Ronaldo is appealing for a penalty after he huddled under a push from Zaido Sanusi as he attempted to control a long ball over the top of De Ligt. There’s no doubt he got a push, but he was already going to the ground when it came.
21:52
90 + 2 min: Alex Sandro takes one for the team and makes a mistake on Mehdi Taremi when the attacker landed in Juve’s penalty area. It’s only a booking because Matthijs De Ligt was close by. From the free kick, Szczesny drops the ball, but gets away with it.
21:50
90 + 1 min: Porto brought in two more subs in a bid to lower the clock, including their manager’s son, Francisco.
21:49
89 min: There’s no such thing as a bad win against Juventus, but if it stays that way, Porto will be disappointed to concede an away goal. The Italian side was so unspeakably bad for most of tonight’s game that they couldn’t have any complaints if they left Estadio do Dragao on the wrong side of a shelter. As things stand now, they will consider this a great result. Pirlo’s bills kept the bacon on his side.
21:46
87 min: Porto comes close when Mateus Uribe pushes the ball over a Juve defender onto Taremi’s chest. Before he can pull the trigger from four or five meters, the ball is put out by De Ligt for a corner kick. Nothing comes out of the decor.

TARGET! Porto 2-1 Juventus (Church 82)
Juventus is withdrawing one. Adrien Rabiot runs behind the Porto defense and pulls the ball back into their penalty area. Federico Chiesa hits the ball for the first time about 14 meters from the goal, sticks the ball into the ground and drives away in a festive way as it bounces past Marchesin.

21:39
79 min: Morata sees Marchesin four or five meters from his line and kicks the ball as high as possible towards the goal. It’s a daring attempt and the ball lands on the roof of the net, but the goalkeeper had it under control.
21:37
77 min: Alvaro Morata is played behind the defense of Porto and brings a smart save from Marchesin. He was offside.

75 min: Alvaro Morata appeals for a penalty after he was expropriated by Chancel Mbemba, who was rude but didn’t break any laws. The Spaniard has to settle for a corner kick.
21:32
73 min: Bentancur slips in to deny Uribe the ability to send a cross into the Juve penalty. From the next corner, Sergio Oliveira’s corner is cleared at the first post.
21:30
71 min: Good job from Ronaldo, who gallops down the left flank before drilling a low cross to Chiesa. His shot is saved by Agustin Marchesin, but the flag goes up. Alvaro Morata was sidelined for lurking in the hope of pouncing on all the football-shaped crumbs that had fallen off Marchesin’s table.

68 min: Entrepreneurial stuff from Jesus Corona, standing with his back to Juve’s goal about 20 yards away, shoots the ball into the air to put on his own acrobatic kick. His attempt is knocked over the bar by Szczesny, but would not have counted if he had gone in. The referee noticed some kind of violation.
21:26
67 min: Substitution in Porto: Moussa Marega, who scored Porto’s second goal after 20 seconds of the second half, is leaving. He will be replaced by Marco Grujic, the Serbian midfielder on loan from Liverpool to Porto.
21:25
66 min: Rodrigo Bentancur tries his luck with a long shot. He barely used a backlift, but hit the ball with venom. About the bar, but not much.
21:23
65 min: Morata gets the ball and drives forward, but is fouled by Mateus Uribe.

64 min: Substitution at Juventus: Alvaro Morata for Weston McKinnie.

21:16
57 min: Now Kulusevski is being penalized for checking the ball with his hand and Porto uses the break in the game to make a substitution. Luis Diaz replaces Otavio.
21:15
56 min: Dejan Kulusevski has left out half a chance by Merih Demiral and it’s about all Juventus has had in this half so far.

52 min: Sergio Oliveira emerges in the penalty area on the other side of the field and delivers a clever one-handed save to Wojciech Szczesny, who looked somewhat puzzled and had to shift his weight from one foot to the other to reach the ball. Maybe the shot has deviated – Juventus is being ravaged here.
21:10
50 min: Juventus wins a corner and the ball is tapped by Sandro on the first post. Sergio Oliveira is clearly hacking.
21:08
48 min: Porto galloped onto the field from kick-off and the ball was pulled back to Marega in the penalty area from the byline. His first touch was sublime, taking him away from the Federico Chiesa before firing a fairly tame shot into the corner past Szczesny, which hit his front post.

Second half: Porto 1-0 Juventus
46 min: Play redsumes without changes in personnel on both sides. I’m surprised Alvaro Morata wasn’t sent out by Pirlo to hit, as Dejan Kusulevski barely had a kick.
20:49
Rest: FC Porto 1-0 Juventus
Peeking! That’s your fate for the first half, which got off to the worst possible start for Juventus when Mehdi Taremi attacked a mistake by Rodrigo Bentancur to score an opportunistic goal. Juve has been surprisingly slow and already looks really devoid of ideas. I suspect we’ll see one or two changes from Andrea Pirlo soon. It was so comfortable for Porto, whose defense looked remarkably secure.
20:46
45 + 1 min: Ronaldo tries to run into the Porto penalty area from the left, but is full of the ball.
20:45
45 min: Ronaldo wins his team a corner after such an excursion. Bentancur’s delivery is clear, despite Ronaldo’s best efforts to get to the ball.
20:44
44 min: We are almost at half time and Cristiano Ronaldo has had just one touch in the Porto penalty area. He also gets frustrated and falls deeper and deeper in an attempt to get more time on the ball.
20:43
41 min: Another free kick, from the same area. The ball is sent back to the far post and breaks to Adrien Rabiot, whose bicycle kick is saved by Marchesin, who knocks it away. It was a spectacular-looking effort, but it really lacked poison. It was also Juves’ first shot on goal.
20:40
40 min: Juve free kick wide to the right after a foul by Sergio Oliveira on Matthijs De Ligt. Bentancur finally gets one right and chooses Cristiano Ronaldo by the far post. His downward head doesn’t bother Marchesin.
