The Board of Directors announces the completion of Marcelino Vélez in Santo Domingo Oeste and other works

Last Sunday, the government council, headed by President Luis Abinader and the Ministers of Education, Public Works, Health, Internal Affairs and Police and other officials, met with the Mayor of Santo Domingo Oeste, José Andújar.

During the meeting, the president announced the full completion of the Dr. Marcelino Vélez Santana Regional General Hospital, evaluating the possibility of converting the old part of the health center into a mother and child.

Abinader emphasized that the extension of the Santo Domingo metro from kilometer nine of the Duarte Highway to Los Alcarrizos will also have a positive impact on this municipality, adding other works, such as a new industrial park, where the industries operating in the center from the city they will be able to establish and expand in Santo Domingo Oeste.

According to the director of the Center for Industrial Development and Competitiveness (Proindustria), Ulises Rodríguez, the investment in this industrial park would amount to approximately RD $ 1,000 million and create approximately 5,000 direct jobs.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Santo Domingo Oeste presented the municipal development plan, where, with the support of the Ministry of Education, the construction of several schools that have not been completed due to legal problems will be reactivated.
